Our Culinary Trail project has concluded!

The Culinary Trail project came to a successful conclusion in June 2026 following our closing event. The event brought together project partners, gastronomic experts, tourism stakeholders and visitors to celebrate the region’s rich gastronomic heritage and cultural diversity.

As a result of our project, the sustainable cultural, ethnic and gastronomic heritage of the Danube region’s ethnic and local culinary traditions has taken centre stage – both literally and figuratively.
The Culinary Trail offers a wide range of products and services:

  • ✅Culinary Trail’s training programmes aim to preserve, promote and elevate the rich gastronomic traditions of the Danube region to a professional standard.
  • ✅Platform of https://culinarytrail.eu/ digital catalogue features over 700 elements of gastronomic heritage from 35 ethnic groups, awaiting visitors
  • ✅The interactive ‘Transnational Trails’ map highlights individual gastronomic heritage regions and sites,
  • ✅Piloted food truck, roadshow events, culinary competitions and festivals
  • ✅Partnership opportunities with a superb and recognised brand, based on a ‘slow’ culinary tourism business model.

Culinary Trail project is open to collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders – from restaurants, cultural organisations, and service providers to NGOs, public institutions, and private enterprises. By joining the network, you too can contribute to the preservation and promotion of gastronomic heritage, the strengthening of intercultural dialogue, and the creation of authentic experiences for residents and visitors to the Danube region.
