BRIDGE TO BENEFITS
Through its international project activities, BCCI is open to support socially beneficial enterprises and seeks to build further cooperation with them in the future in order to support collaboration between social enterprises and for-profit organizations.
According to research done in recent years, micro- and small enterprises have limited resources in the field of implementing socially beneficial projects, although there is a growing expectation from economic and business actors to operate sustainably and responsibly. This horizontal system of ideas is mostly characteristic of large corporations and capital-intensive medium-sized enterprises. However, the pandemic and its consequences have further intensified the development of socially useful collaborations and the importance of supporting them.
These circumstances and opportunities gave rise to a new training program: Bridge to Benefits – Masterclass for Responsible Enterprises.
Objectives of the training program
Starting in May 2021, the Masterclass aims to increase the sustainability of micro- and small enterprises by providing them with a knowledge-sharing program focusing on social as well as environmental benefits. The training course is anticipated to provide an opportunity to establish collaborations between enterprises, social enterprises, non-governmental organizations, andfor-profit multinational companies.
Structure of the Masterclass
The course consists of two major parts:
An interactive workshop series, consisting of several modules including the following topics:
(1) CSR, sustainability, social investment – 27 May 2021 (Thursday)
(2) the role and opportunities of civil-corporate collaborations in business – 3 June 2021 (Thursday)
(3) business and project development along social and environmental investments – 10 June 2021 (Thursday)
(4) new marketing and communication opportunities for social and environmental investments – 17 June 2021 (Thursday)
(5) business and financial (re)planning along social investments – 24 June 2021 (Thursday)
(6) opportunities for cooperation and partnership as well as a pitch event – June 29, 2021 (Tuesday)
Development and implementation of pilot projects in 4-6 months: modelling the concept developed in connection with the workshop outcomes, including feedback from the market (incubation).
The series of training courses end with a pitch event (29 June 2021), where the participating companies present their own directions in development and cooperationideas to the multinational companies. The 3-5 best companies of the pitch will have the opportunity to participate in a 6-month-long incubation program with the matching multinational company as well as NGO.
Large companies and non-profit organizations: efficient knowledge transfer
The aim of the training modules is to explore the areas of cooperation, where participants can work together effectively, and at the same time to prepare them for the development and implementation of a partnership model. To this end, during the training courses, both non-profit organizations and multinational companies are involved, who can indeed support the work by sharing their own best practices and experience.
