Social(i) Makers
Growing a Central European Smart Community of Social Innovatiors
Social(i)Makers project aims to support socially useful ideas through the transfer of practical knowledge required for successful implementation. In order to disseminate the purpose and results of this project, economic actors, policy-makers, investors and citizens have been involved.
In Social(i)Makers, stakeholders will take part in a complex training program funded by the Social Innovation Design Academy. The training consists of an interactive e-learning course using state-of-the-art tools, complemented by personal, project-based training. After that, 8 project ideas will be put into practice for on-site testing and deepening participants’ knowledge. Goals will also be supported by a pitching competition called “Be Social, Be Maker”, which will be organized in each participating country.
One of the main achievements of implementation is the establishment of the Skyrocket platform and a Central European Social Innovation network whose members are committed to sustainable social development. Outcome of the project is a comprehensive strategy for supporting social innovation.
Co-financed by the European Union and the Hungarian State, the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry participates in this Interreg Central Europe Programme project as a partner.
